Lions donation brightens school

MARGARET River Lions Club president Bob Castle handed over a cheque for $1500 to the Margaret River Primary School on Friday.

The money, which was half the proceeds from a recent Lions Club garage sale, will go towards painting walls in the school’s quadrangle area.

“We’d like to thank the community for the opportunity to fundraise with them,” MRPS Parents and Citizens president Jenny Colquhoun said.

“They provide a great service.”

The school, who also held a fundraising winter market on the weekend, would like to eventually redevelop the whole quadrangle area so students have seating and shading.
